Potretkita.com<\/strong><\/span>, JAKARTA – Rapat Pimpinan Nasional (Rapimnas) ke-2 Asosiasi Wartawan Profesional Indonesia (AWPI) tahun 2025 resmi menetapkan Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, tepatnya Kota Palangkaraya, sebagai tuan rumah penyelenggaraan Kongres II AWPI tahun 2026. Sementara itu, Provinsi Lampung dan wilayah Sumatera bagian selatan ditetapkan sebagai tuan rumah cadangan.<\/p>\n

Ketua Umum DPP AWPI, Hengky Ahmat Jazuli, menyampaikan keputusan tersebut di sela penutupan Rapimnas yang digelar di Hotel Golden Boutique, Jakarta Pusat, dan berlangsung selama dua hari 13-14-10-2025. dengan lancar dan sukses.<\/p>\n

\u201cIni keputusan penting dalam forum nasional hari ini. Seluruh peserta sepakat bahwa Kongres II AWPI akan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2026 di Palangkaraya. Untuk tanggal dan tempatnya, kami menunggu laporan kesiapan dari Kalimantan Tengah,\u201d jelas Hengky. Selasa , (14\/10\/2025).<\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, Hengky menegaskan bahwa pelaksanaan Kongres II AWPI menjadi momentum besar bagi seluruh jajaran pengurus DPD dan DPC AWPI di Indonesia untuk menunjukkan profesionalisme dan komitmen dalam menjalankan tugas jurnalistik.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaya berharap seluruh anggota AWPI terus menjaga profesionalisme dan integritas dalam menjalankan tugas jurnalistik. Itulah hal paling penting,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n

Menjawab pertanyaan terkait potensi afiliasi politik para anggota, Hengky dengan tegas menegaskan bahwa AWPI akan tetap independen dan tidak berafiliasi dengan partai politik mana pun.<\/p>\n

\u201cAWPI bersifat independen. Sesuai Undang-Undang Pers Nomor 40 Tahun 1999, wartawan harus bebas dari intervensi politik. Kami tidak akan berpihak atau terlibat dalam partai politik mana pun,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Ia menambahkan, peran utama wartawan adalah sebagai fungsi kontrol sosial yang dapat bersinergi sekaligus memberikan kritik konstruktif terhadap lembaga-lembaga publik.<\/p>\n

Dalam arahannya, Hengky juga meminta seluruh DPD dan DPC AWPI di Indonesia untuk mulai mempersiapkan diri menyambut Kongres II dengan penuh tanggung jawab. Selain itu, ia menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) anggota melalui kegiatan pendidikan dan pelatihan.<\/p>\n

\u201cSetiap DPC dan DPD diinstruksikan minimal dua kali setahun mengadakan pendidikan dan pelatihan (diklat) bagi anggotanya. Tujuannya untuk peningkatan kompetensi menuju uji kompetensi wartawan (UKW),\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n

Hengky mengungkapkan, hingga saat ini baru sekitar 30 persen anggota AWPI yang telah mengikuti uji kompetensi wartawan. Karena itu, pihaknya mendorong agar setiap wilayah terus memperbanyak kegiatan pelatihan dan sertifikasi.<\/p>\n

\u201cKami akan terus meningkatkan jumlah anggota yang kompeten melalui UKW di wilayah masing-masing. Ini menjadi modal utama bagi wartawan profesional,\u201d tandasnya.<\/p>\n

Rapimnas tersebut dihadiri oleh seluruh pengurus DPP, DPD, dan DPC AWPI se-Indonesia. Forum tersebut berhasil menghasilkan sejumlah keputusan strategis untuk arah organisasi ke depan, termasuk penetapan lokasi Kongres II tahun 2026 dan penguatan komitmen terhadap profesionalisme dan independensi wartawan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
